Clear water, Natural light

It's been simply another fantastic week diving here in Sosua on the North coast of the Dominican Republic.

Summer is coming, the days are getting warmer, the ocean is getting warmer and the visibility is better every day.  Calm waters and short boat rides are the order of the day.

It's a great time to be taking photos using the natural light available!  The lack of waves lets the light penetrate and creates superb wider angle opportunities.  Have a look at the slide show - and please leave your comments!

The second version of the book is available here on the website and it looks great!  More dive sites and more information on Sosua.  The paper has been upgraded and the photos "pop".

Come on down to Sosua and enjoy the beautiful beaches, the great variety of restaurants, and the friendly hospitality of the Dominican people.

Have a GREAT week everyone :)

BIll

Seems like lots of critters and incredible colors and focus on the camera. Is it all in the lights you have or are some of these shots visible to the naked eye?

Hi Kim and thanks for your question!

These shots in this slide show are all with natural light. The water is really clear right now, the ocean calm, and as a result you get great light penetration. So yes, these are very visible :)
